In two scenes, Martin Hudy was doubled when only his feet and legs are visible. Coincidently, leg double Martin Hercher has the same forename, and also worked as video operator on the production.
Due to the fact that the budget was considerably small and the entire film was shot on location, actors and extras had to wear their own wardrobe and no sets were specifically built (except for one scene). Therefore, not a single art or costume department member is credited for this movie.
The original screenplay was re-written several times resulting in 13 drafts in total with minor different plot lines but always with the same basic idea. In most of the drafts David's character was supposed to be a security person and Cornelia's a book restorer and the story dealt with an old, apparently stolen bible. Problems with financing forced the filmmakers to reduce the story thus both characters were changed to be librarians and the bible plot was abandoned.
Development of the film took about two years from the first story outline to the final cut. Because of financial difficulties and alternating producers and production companies the writing and re-writing itself lasted about 20 months. Finally, the film was produced as a low-budget production. Principal photography had to be prepared within only four weeks and took itself about a week with additional two and a half month of post-production.
The film runs exactly 12 minutes, 0 seconds and 0 frames or 18,000 single frames in total.
