- The girl has been beaten on more than one occasion by the man her mother wants to marry. The marks are seen on her back. The Grandfather, Lee Majors, punches the man in anger. The girls ankle is caught in a animal trap. Brief gunfire.

- There is one Bas..., and one, nig..... used in the film. I wasn't sure, but maybe others viewers may know, if B..S.. was stated by the people during a march, who were holding signs, before the scene changed in Selma. The word wasn't in the closed captioning. Some mild language.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

- The girl is abused by her possible step father. The movie becomes more intense toward the end, when a black man is blamed for the kidnapping of the girl. A racist remark is stated by one of the characters that everyone knows why black men want young white girls.
