A Message That Still Resonates Today
richardchatten29 June 2020
Basically a filmed speech rather than a narrative, made with the blessing of the Ministry of Information surprisingly early in the war.

Just as newspapers are currently full of earnest discussion whether the current crisis will bring about radical social change in it's wake, so this screening buried among the schedules of Talking Pictures reminds us that nearly eighty years ago the view was then being fervently expressed that when the dust had settled once the war was over a fairer society would emerge: "we can't go back to the old ways of living".
