This was a pretty decent fan film. It was one of the more original films i've seen floating the net. I think getting into Cannes is a great achievement, and I think this one deserved it.

I think this could have been stronger with the punchline, but was still done well.

And yes, the credits are too long, but the ratio is more like Content:60%, Credits:40%.

I understand that it may have been out of their control. Choochoobootie's extremely glorified review was over the top, but Marcus' was really uncalled for. Sounds like a personal grudge to me.

Good fan film overall!

If you're a Star Wars Fan, then you can relate to this film. You know you've tried to use the Force in one way or another, whether it be in public for the amusement of others, or in private with a tiny bit of hope that it will work.

Speeder takes us on a journey into the world of a Star Wars Fan. It explores the motivations of people when put into troubling situations. Would you try to use a "Jedi Mind Trick" if you were pulled over by Law Enforcement? Only if you were really lost in the delusion that you are a Jedi, or perhaps really plastered, which would not help your case.

This being the first attempt by these guys, they did remarkably well. Not only did they make it as a Finalist in the Official Star Wars Fan Film Awards, but the film was selected to be shown at the Cannes Film Festival! The Trivia says this short was apart of a larger film, let us see it!! Who knows what other original stories these guys have made? I look forward to their next endeavor!
