Legendary adult film star Ginger Lynn Allen has wrapped filming her role in the upcoming horror movie House of Many Sorrows, which was shot just outside of the small town of Killam, Alberta, and tells the story of a young man who takes over his mother’s bed and breakfast establishment. Strange things soon begin happening, and people begin disappearing and dying.
Allen plays the role of Jocelyn Mathers, a larger than life bad girl, in the movie. Says Allen:
I was very excited to land this role, and working with director Barry J. Gillis has been a pleasure. I found this role to be very, very fulfilling [as] Barry let me incorporate a few of my own ideas into the role, and that was really satisfying.
House of Many Sorrows is written, produced and directed by Barry J. Gillis. It also stars Tom Malloy (The Alphabet Killer, The Attic) and Kim Sonderholm (The Horror Vault,...

More talent is on its way to the upcoming anthology film based upon the stories of Thomas Tessier, World of Hurt, and we have all the details you need right here without having to suffer through any pain at all. Well... some pain is okay, but don't blame us if you get really messed up.
From the Press Release
Producer/actor/writer Tom Malloy (pictured) has just signed on to bring his extensive and multifaceted producing skills to Thomas Tessier’S World Of Hurt horror anthology.
“My whole life I’ve been an avid fan of scary and horror movies,” Malloy said, “and the idea of bringing Tom Tessier’s stories to the screen was exactly the project I was looking for. And when I saw the caliber of the talented directors involved, I was in!”
Tom not only produces; he also acts and writes. He brought all three skills...

The fine folks running The Asylum have done it again. Purveyor of mockbusters and Syfy mega-features such as Mega Shark Versus Giant Octopus, Mega Piranha and, of course, Mega Shark Versus Crocosaurus, The Asylum has now delivered unto us Mega Python vs. Gatoroid, and it's safe to say that this low-budget delight delivers everything you might desire from a film bearing such a title.
Although the flick's big battle is ostensibly between the titular creatures, in truth the main event features '80s pop tarts Tiffany and Debbie Gibson playing strong women at odds who, by movie's end, are united in more ways than one by a common mega-enemy.
Gibson stars as Nikki, a fervent animal rights activist whose zeal borders on the sociopathic. Tiffany plays Terry, a park ranger whose beat is the Florida Everglades.

It’s tough to follow up a film called Mega Python Vs. Gatoroid, but director Mary Lambert already has a few irons in the fire. The helmer of Pet Sematary and its sequel, The In Crowd, The Attic and Siesta, waxed enthusiastic yesterday about her Syfy debut, which airs Saturday, January 29 at 9 p.m., and also spoke with us exclusively about her post-mega Python future.

Two and a half hours west of Detroit sits the city of Grand Rapids—an unspectacular Midwestern location, but the one where director Philippe Martinez has opted to shoot The Chaos Experiment (a.k.a. The Steam Experiment, the title under which it will be released internationally). With a cast that features such names as Val Kilmer, Armand Assante, Eric Roberts and Patrick Muldoon, along with Quinn Duffy and sexy actresses Eve Mauro, Megan Brown and Cordelia Reynolds, it’s unsurprising that, as Fango arrives on set at 9:00 on a cold Wednesday evening, an excited crowd is gathered behind mildly perturbed-looking security guards, eager to catch a glimpse at the sort of movie stars that rarely set foot in their hometown.
Fango is led to the set where an uneventful bar scene featuring Assante and Martinez’s daughter (making a cameo as a barmaid—the director, whose sister Karinne...

**Note: This will be at the top for a bit; new stories will appear below!** It was the best of times, it was the worst of times; it was the age of remakes -- also known as the age of foolishness; it was the epoch of bad, it was the epoch of incredible; it was the season of fright, it was the season of dumb; it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair -- and man, did we have a lot of it; we had everything before us, we had nothing before us; some flicks took us directly to heaven, others took us the other way. The year was 2008, and it was pretty memorable.

While the film makes it's limited theatrical run, Anchor Bay Entertainment release the final specs for the DVD release of The Alphabet Killer (six clips), the eagerly anticipated thriller from director Rob Schmidt (Wrong Turn, Masters of Horror: Right To Die) and featuring an all-star cast including Eliza Dushku (the upcoming Fox series Dollhouse, Wrong Turn, Bring It On), Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride, Saw), and Oscar®-winner Timothy Hutton (Ordinary People, Sunshine State.) Beyond the break you can read all about the DVD release, hitting retailers on January 6, 2009. Written by Tom Malloy (The Attic), who also co-stars, The Alphabet Killer is a gripping psychological thriller loosely based on the still-unsolved double initial murders that shocked the citizens of Rochester, New York in the early 1970s.

Director Rob Schmidt seemed to come out of nowhere just over five years ago with Wrong Turn, a slasher sleeper that, arguably, created more edge-of-the-seat scenarios than the same year’s hit remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Following this up with his superlative Masters Of Horror episode Right To Die, Schmidt looked as if he could be the “next big thing” in our beloved genre—and, on the strength of The Alphabet Killer, that tag might still be warranted.
However, this is a curious diversion for the filmmaker—and a decidedly brave one at that (he could have easily hedged his bets by taking the reins of the “safer” Wrong Turn 2, after all). Sure, it might not be an instant classic—and its slow pace is certain to put some viewers off—but there are plenty of things to like about The Alphabet Killer (playing limited theatrical release ahead...
