One of the best bands to come out of NYC in the early 90's. I remember the first time I saw donut at Maxwell's in Hoboken NJ, Mule wasn't released yet. "Egg" got the crowd roiling and I nearly got trampled. Anyhow Ant's coat reminded me of what a flasher's would look like, I thought to myself- "this guy is really filthy". I saw donut at Maxwell's at least twice. One time I saw them at NYU's Loeb Student Hall which isn't there anymore. They performed with the Lunachicks and it might have been the first time Sissy started gigging with the band. I've never seen them in Europe or Brooklyn but I have gone to their shows in CT, NJ and Manhattan in the last 15 years.

One of the best live music videos i ever seen! This DVD captures the raw energy that Alice Donut controls with their music and thrashes the audience with it. Crank up the surround sound and its like your in the crowd at the Camden Underworld. And when your done moshing around in your living room you can watch the band interviews! Alice Donut is a intense band with a strong (cult like) following. I recommend buying this DVD...matter of fact buy two because you will wear out the first one......i know because i did! Punkervision did a great job bringing the show to the ones who could not be there...(I couldn't jump the pond). thanks Pete ..your the man!
