That Emma Stone-Jonah Hill comedy series wasn’t out in the marketplace for long.
Netflix is close to placing a 10-episode order for Maniac, an adaptation of the Norwegian dark comedy series starring Stone and Hill, Deadline reports.
Having premiered last year in Norway, Maniac follow a young man (Hill) who’s living a fantastic life, but only in a fantasy world — all while he’s actually locked up inside a mental institution. Stone plays a fellow patient.
True Detective‘s Cary Fukunaga is in talks to possibly direct every episode, as well as serve as an executive producer alongside Stone and Hill.

We're all aware that many people in Hollywood share an uncanny resemblance. We're not about to rattle off some tired list of celebrity twins. Instead, we take things up a notch with Hollywood Doppelgänger Math, a new series from GeekTyrant that is sure to change the way you look at actors and the roles they play. To make the cut, a person has to look like the sum of at least two other people. For this first collection, we focused on equations that resulted in young and/or up-and-coming actors. We have also included a list of other connections the actors share.
All three have played secondary love interests in popular sitcoms; Amy Adams in The Office, Alison Brie in Community, and Alexandra Daddario in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Both Adams and Brie have played sisters to characters portrayed by Emily Blunt; Adams in Sunshine Cleaners and Brie in The Five-Year Engagement.

Chicago – A good comedy film lives and breathes through the right casting of character roles. In the new film “21 Jump Street,” Ice Cube is the angry police captain who guides his undercover recruits Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum as they infiltrate high school. Rob Riggle pitches in as a wacky high school coach.
Both supporting players were in Chicago a couple weeks ago, promoting their new film, and HollywoodChicago.com got to sit in on a press roundtable. “21 Jump Street” is loosely based on the 1987 TV show, and besides the buddy picture antics of Hill and Tatum, there are also the familiar comic stylings of Chris Parnell and Ellie Kemper (“Bridesmaids”).

Oh, no!
One of our favorite Saturday Night Live players, an 8-year-vet of the long-running sketch show, is bouncing. It's MacGruber's Will Forte, whose good looks belied his excellence at playing zany, usually-perverse men.
The 40-year-old bachelor is leaving the show to pursue "other opportunities," says his publicist Lewis Kaye, and is "grateful" to SNL producer Lorne Michaels for giving him his start.
Here's Forte on "Campus Ladies," a short-lived Oxygen sitcom we liked. Lolz.

Last month was particularly hard on television lovers. We lost a lot of indelible talent during June. Like their shows, there are a lot of talented people that won't be back in the Fall.
They include David Carradine (The Alfred Hitchcock Hour, The Virginian, Wagon Train, Kung Fu, Kung Fu: The Legend Continues, Charmed, Medium, Alias, and Jackie Chan Adventures), Ward Costello (The Edge of Night, The Streets of San Francisco, Little House on the Prairie, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Newhart, and General Hospital), Johnny Palermo (Passions, Campus Ladies, Just for Kicks, Everybody Hates Chris, and ER), Michael Roof (Hype and Raising the Roofs), Hal Riddle (Green Acres, The FBI, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Eight is Enough, The Waltons, and Dallas), Ken Roberts (Candid Camera, Love of Life, The Secret Storm, and The Electric Company), Anne Roberts Nelson (I Love Lucy, All in the Family, Gunsmoke, and The...

Joan Beamin and Barri Martin, the main characters of Campus Ladies, may have a good time going back to school but their series won't be returning to the Oxygen channel. The sitcom has been cancelled after two seasons.
Campus Ladies followed the exploits of two 40-something women who enrolled in college and tried to fit in with their younger classmates. Much of the show's dialogue was improvised which isn't surprising considering most of the cast are veterans of the respected Groundlings improv group. Guest actors on the series included Jane Kaczmarek (Malcolm in the Middle), Jason Alexander (Seinfeld), Paul Reubens (Pee-wee's Playhouse), Fred Willard (Roseanne), Sean Hayes (Will & Grace), and Maya Rudolph (City of Angels).
Ladies was co-produced by Curb Your Enthusiasm's Cheryl Hines and starred Christen Sussin and Carrie Aizley who also co-created the series. The sitcom has run for two seasons and a total of 20 episodes on Oxygen.
