Will Farrell will always love University of Southern California's 2017 graduating class.
The 50-year-old actor gave a commencement address to remember at the university's graduation in May, when he sang a beautiful rendition of Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" -- so beautiful, in fact, that his performance is still being talked about.
During a recent appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Ferrell recalled his epic speech, revealing why he decided to send students off with a musical moment.
"I hadn’t been put in that position before because usually I just make fun of things,” Ferrell admitted. “I just told them to keep your feet firmly planted on the ground and reach for the stars -- which I read on the back of a cereal box.”
The actor further inspired those in the audience -- and on the internet -- by singing a good chunk of "I Will Always Love You."

Shockingly, Twitter detectives have once again missed the mark. Christina Aguilera’s tribute to Whitney Houston at the American Music Awards — yes, those are still a thing — brought the house down on Sunday night, but many on the social platform were wondering why Pink looked so not-impressed during the performance. The cameras panned to the “Get the Party Started” singer a few minutes into XTina’s cover of “I Will Always Love You,” looking like she’d just taken a giant swig of sour milk. Considering that Pink and Aguilera had a decades-long “beef” dating back to their “Lady Marmalade” days (a staple.

This year's American Music Awards featured some of the most amazing, gravity-defying, crowd-pleasing performances you could ever hope for -- but it also had its share of awkward presenters and bizarre celebrities acting like weirdos.
From Tracee Ellis Ross' masterful turn as the night's host to Pink's sky-high performance of "Beautiful Trauma" and the adorable tribute to the iconic Diana Ross, the show was packed with sweet, funny moments.
However, for every number that started with a powerful female artist telling off her haters, there was a number that featured Nick Jonas being groped by mysterious ghost hands.

Christina Aguilera left Xtina at home, swapping her usual full face of makeup for a simple, subtle and almost au naturale look for her Whitney Houston tribute at the 2017 American Music Awards.
The singer, 36, blew audiences away with her stellar rendition of “Run to You” from The Bodyguard soundtrack as part of the 25th-anniversary tribute of the Nov. 25, 1992, release. (Academy Award and Tony Award winner Viola Davis introduced Aguilera’s performance.)
The fact that her performance was powerful was no surprise; however, her fresh-faced look – arguably her most minimal and unrecognizable yet – certainly was.

Christina Aguilera made Whitney Houston proud!
The 36-year-old singer delivered an emotionally breathtaking performance dedicated to the late singer and her work in The Bodyguard for the drama's 25th anniversary on Sunday night's American Music Awards in Los Angeles.
After a touching introduction by Oscar winner Viola Davis, the 36-year-old songstress took the stage in a shimmering black gown to deliver a powerful medley of Houston's hits from the film's iconic soundtrack.
Starting with a striking rendition of "I Will Always Love You," Aguilera made the record-setting tune her own with some of her signature flourishes, and flawlessly moved on to "I Have Nothing" and "I'm Every Woman," where she was joined by a chorus of black-robed women singing backup for the powerful anthem.
The soulful tribute brought the audience to their feet for a standing ovation, and Aguilera could barely contain her emotions as she finished the impressive medley and bowed before the cheering crowd.

Christina Aguilera performed a heartfelt tribute to the late Whitney Houston at the American Music Awards on Sunday night, and during her rendition of the classic "I Will Always Love You," the camera panned to fellow singer Pink, whose facial expression could be taken a handful of different ways. Was she impressed? Was she wincing? Was she perplexed? As Christina moved on to Whitney's "I Have Nothing," Pink was once again shown reacting in her front-row seat - this time, the "Beautiful Trauma" songstress could be seen smiling and applauding. Shade? You be the judge. For what it's worth, the two singers had a well-known feud during the early 2000s, during which they collaborated on a cover of "Lady Marmalade." Recently, Pink revealed that Christina actually "swung on" her at a club but that they've since patched things up. "She's so talented. And deep down - I've had bad days...

The first point of reference that comes to mind when thinking of “Anchorman” probably isn’t “Alive,” the based-on-a-true-story of a plane crash and cannibalism that delighted audiences back in 1993. Nick Broomfield’s Whitney Houston documentary is an engrossing and compassionate portrait of a supremely talented singer racked by self doubt
Nick Broomfield’s documentary portrait of Whitney Houston shows once again that her climactic “I” in I Will Always Love You is one of the most amazing moments in pop music: a sustained blazing siren of euphoric self-affirmation. That song became the keynote of her smash-hit movie The Bodyguard in 1992 with Kevin Costner, and sealed her global megastar triumph. (Much stronger, for me, than Celine Dion’s My Heart Will Go On from Titanic.)
Whitney’s hurricane-force “I” all but blitzes the song’s meaning, which I only fully appreciated on listening to Dolly Parton’s considerably more muted and melancholy self-penned original from 1973. The singer is of course renouncing her claim on the loved one. But the way Houston belts it out, she is owning everything and anything.

What once appeared to be a solid friendship between famous friends has devolved into a hodgepodge of alleged diss tracks, shady social media posts and interview clapbacks.
Here, we look back at the pop stars’ ups and downs over the years through their own words:

Taylor Swift and Katy Perry are two of the biggest pop stars (and, equally important, cat lovers) in the world, which means a lot of people have a lot of thoughts on their lives. A popular fan theory is that the two have been embroiled in a long-running feud, but most of the supposed drama has really played out through elusive quotes in magazine profiles and subtweets that don’t really say anything at all – until now.
In October, both Perry and Swift attended Drake’s birthday party, with no drama to report. Yet a few days later at a Kanye West concert,...

Summit Entertainment and Millenium Films has today unveiled a brand new trailer for their anticipated action-comedy The Hitman’s Bodyguard, which you can view in the player below!
The new film stars Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool, Life) and Samuel L. Jackson (Kong: Skull Island, Avengers: Infinity War) and thus far the marketing has been making a few loving pokes at the classic 1992 film The Bodyguard including utilising the poster and Whitney Houston’s famous song “I Will Always Love You” to add to the “fun” aspect of the film.
The second trailer, however, goes all out on the action front as well as a whole host of R-rated humour for which Reynolds and Jackson are dab hands at. In the film, Reynolds plays the world’s leading bodyguard and is offered a new job: guarding one of the world’s leading hitmen (Jackson) – but, as you would have expected,...

The early marketing for “The Hitman’s Bodyguard” really leaned heavily on parodying “The Bodyguard,” with first poster showing star Ryan Reynolds carrying his co-star Samuel L. Jackson similar to how Kevin Costner held Whitney Houston. The first trailer used the famous Whitney Houston song, “I Will Always Love You,” to really drive home the message that this movie was just like that one, but with laughs.

A legend in her own right, Whitney Houston simply was the princess of pop, but we are all aware the trappings of fame ended her career and her life way before her time. To celebrate her life, a new documentary will be released called Whitney Can I Be Me which you can watch the first trailer for below.
The trailer for Whitney Can I Be Me is a melancholy affair as it takes us on a less than two minute journey of her life as a young, fresh faced talent all the way up until the height o her legendary fame. Accompanied by the one song that will be tied to her memory (even if it was a cover), I will always love you, people from her world of fame and celebrity and even herself, narrate the trailer with their own memories in describing her life and talent.

The legendary songwriter/producer walked into the Stinking Rose, grabbed a seat at the piano and started playing a string of hits ... including "I Will Always Love You" and "Got to Be Real." This week’s graduation ceremonies have been a study in contrasts. Betsy DeVos, the Secretary of Education who ascended to her current post via questionable means, was met with boos and turned backs at Bethune-Cookman; Will Ferrell serenaded USC grads with a rendition of “I Will Always Love You.” As you might imagine, he received a warmer reception than DeVos.

You know how I know I had a crappy commencement speech at my college graduation? Because A. I don’t know the person’s name who spoke at mine and 2. I couldn’t tell you one word from it. Not that you’d ever remember everything at your graduation commencement speech but it’s nice when you get a celebrity. I went to Tulane so it would have been nice to have seen Ellen Degeneres the year she came to my Alma Matter. My brother had James Earl Jones at his and I couldn’t recite one line from the speech but I do remember

Dolly Parton’s beauty on both the inside and outside are beyond compare.
Following deadly wildfires in her native Tennessee that left 14 dead and hundreds displaced from their homes late last year, Parton, 71, launched My People Fund as a part of her Dollywood Foundation to assist fire victims in Sevier County. The organization provided $1,000 a month to each family for up to six months.
“Part of why the people in the Smokies are my people is that when someone needs help, everybody steps up to do their part. And a whole lot more,” she penned in a CNN essay about the donation.

Long before her death in 2012 at age 48, Whitney Houston had become a cultural icon as recognized for her personal downfall as her success. The dazzling yet tender new documentary Whitney: Can I Be Me — which is receiving its world premiere on April 26 at the Tribeca Film Festival — reconciles both her tragic spiral and her astonishing talent. Co-directed by veteran documentarians Nick Broomfield (Kurt & Courtney) and Rudi Dolezal (Freddie Mercury, The Untold Story), the film combines spectacular, sing-your-heart-out concert footage of Houston with intimate private videos of the singer and testimonials from those who knew her.

The film world was deeply saddened when news broke today that Oscar-winning “The Silence of the Lambs” director Jonathan Demme had died in New York at the age of 73. Demme was a brilliant and versatile auteur, traversing genres with rarely a misfire. He is remembered by those who worked with him, and those whom his work inspired.
Tom Hanks, who won an Oscar for his portrayal of a lawyer dying of AIDS in Demme’s “Philadelphia,” wrote: “Jonathan taught us how big a heart a person can have, and how it will guide how we live and what we do for a living. He was the grandest of men.” Meryl Streep, who worked with Demme on 2015’s “Ricki and the Flash,” said: “A big hearted, big tent, compassionate man- in full embrace in his life of people in need- and of the potential of art, music, poetry and film to...

Aretha Franklin still hasn’t forgotten a small error fellow singer Dionne Warwick made at Whitney Houston’s funeral in 2012.
The 75-year-old “Natural Woman” singer sent the Associated Press a “lengthy fax” on Monday, and spoke to the wire on the phone on Tuesday, accusing Warwick, 76, of making up a story that she was Houston’s godmother.
“She blatantly lied on me… fully well knowing what she was doing,” Franklin tells the AP.
Franklin claims Warwick’s statement was “libelous.” At the time, Warwick told funeral-goers that Franklin was in attendance and introduced her, but then realized she wasn’t present.

Imagine if Pulp Fiction’s Jules Winnfield got older, and grumpier, and had to get to a specific location while under fire from potential assassins. Then imagine that any pre-Deadpool Ryan Reynolds character had to get him there. That’s basically what we have in The Hitman’s Bodyguard and, to great surprise, it looks to be exactly the film you’ll need to give your summer a boost.
Directed by Patrick Hughes (The Expendables 3), The Hitman’s Bodyguard is the second script from Tom O’Connor (Fire With Fire), and boasts a wider cast that includes Salma Hayek, Elodie Yung (Daredevil), Gary Oldman, and Joaquim de Almeida (Our Brand Is Crisis). The premise is simple – the world’s greatest hitman (Samuel L.
