German TV production presenting the different regions and towns of the country
doktor_gredel29 November 2006
The series is very informative and entertaining at the same time. All the different parts of Germany (regions, rivers, mountains, forests, towns) are presented in lots of episodes and show the diversity of Germany's landscapes, industry, culture and folklore.

May it be the northern part of Germany with towns like Bremen and Hamburg, the North Sea islands (Frisian islands), Kiel and other towns at the Baltic Ocean, the west of Germany regarding the Ruhrgebiet for example, the southern (like Bavaria) or eastern part of the country (Saxonia etc.); further rivers like Elbe, Rhein, Mosel, Saar, Saale, Neckar or Isar. You get an impression of rural and urban working and life, questions of industry, religion and church, cultural institutions like museums, cloisters, theaters, operas and so on. Former German territories which came under Polish, Russian, Lithuanian or Czech administration in 1945 (like East- and West Prussia, Silesia, Sudetenland and the eastern part of Pomerania) are not included.
