On An Evening In Roma
bkoganbing4 September 2018
Stu Bailey is taking a little R&R in Europe after an assignment when he receives a request to look for a missing daughter from her family. As Rome was his old stamping ground during his OSS days Efrem Zimbalist is happy to do it and he's uniquely qualified. Of course this story never got near Rome during the filming.

Zimbalist runs into an old friend from those days, Ray Danton who is involved with the disappearance. The girl played by Louise Fletcher is an art student and is over her head with a smuggling racket involving art objects. The head of the racket is Al Ruscio, a most dangerous man.

Young Bart Braverman is also in the cast, a most resourceful street urchin who gives Zimbalist some needed assistance.

It ain't the real Rome, but it's a good story.

Adventure in Italy

Warning: Spoilers
In this episode Stuart Bailey is sent to Rome to find the niece of a beautiful woman who hired him in LA, whilst he was at the restaurant with another beautiful gal. Once in Italy, he gets the help of a young Italian boy named Guido, who will give the audience some amusing scenes. And our lead will also meet a former brother of arms with whom he served during the war, and played by Ray Danton. But the Danton character is not innocent as it seems to be. But his character is interesting. Far better than the one he had in a previous episode, where he was a sort of a sissy.

A good episode. I still have plenty of the series to watch, so I can't say if it is the best or among the best.

Directed by Reginald Le Borg, a grade B director for the big screen.
