Job Description
bkoganbing8 February 2017
In this episode the firm of Bailey&Spencer is hired by a consortium of insurance agencies when a string of accidents across the country start to look very familiar. It's Roger Smith who goes undercover as a man with no real ties looking for work.

When a place advertises for people who have no ties or family anywhere you have to believe it's a come-on. But when your job description calls for you to play house with Fay Spain that can be mighty tempting.

While Smith plays house with a deadly woman, Efrem Zimbalist investigates on the outside. Both Edd Byrnes and Louis Quinn serve as lifelines for Smith. He needs them.

Pernell Roberts is in the cast also as the gang's muscle. Other than being Adam Cartwright and Trapper John, MD, Roberts was mostly a villain such as this in his work.

This was a close run thing.

Intrigue in Hollywood
searchanddestroy-112 November 2015
In this episode, we at first see Jeff going to an appointment, after answering to a job offer. It seems to be a strange job, proposed by a mysterious man, a sort of executive with his gorgeous secretary. Jeff uses a phony name to impersonate another man, of course, so that he can get what he drives to in this affair. The audience wonders too what's going on in this story, where we have Pernell Roberts as a heavy character. Only for this, it would be worth watching.

I was glued to this episode, the most intriguing so far. Especially when the new Jeff's employer find out that the identity he gave them seem suspicious. One more time, terrific early sixties atmosphere. Magic atmosphere, no matter the topic. The kind of stuff you have not anymore today. No matter the story. Just enjoy.
