The Girl Who Wants It So Bad (#1.1)

Warning: Spoilers
I like competition shows so I have a weak spot for reality shows and this is the next one I decided to start watching. Modeling competition sounds like fun and it may even bring some drama.

This episode was very fast paced and also fun to watch. I was surprised they didn't pick Justine. She was sure not the most beautiful by far but her arrogance would have brought some fun drama.

I loved the challenge they had. Posing in a bikini in the cold! Right away getting to know the rough side of modelling.

I agree with the judges about who left. Tessa's posing was horrendous as it seems to me.

Part of me wants to root for Robin. She is plus size and was already bashed as being "too old" which is nonsense for a 26 years old. She seems like fun, just didn't like her religious side. Like how Elyse stood up to her. She is not my favorite lookwise but is very smart. The most beautiful seems to be Kesse. Tara was right, she looks like her younger sister.

a fable exposing the patently obvious truth
RavenGlamDVDCollector1 December 2021
I'm gonna tell you a fable that will sum up how I feel about the whittling down of the twenty girls down to ten. Pay careful attention as I'm not gonna use any names. As this is a fable, the part of the humans will be played by animals.

In HorseTown they held a beauty competition. The Unicorn was set to win. A lot of donkeys entered the race. The Unicorn of course paraded about "I have a superior bloodline, why do you even bother to challenge me? Look at my golden mane! Go back to your stables." Which in this day and age, even back in 2003, isn't very politically correct, even among horses. So the judge decided to teach the Unicorn some manners. And let a bald stallion-kicking mule run in the race. And lo and behold, the mule got chosen and the glorious blonde Unicorn couldn't come along to New York and the Unicorn stood there crying her pretty eyes out. The moral of the story is Do Not Let Your Unicorn Daughter Compete Against Common Horses for the race might be rigged.

Aw, I'm gonna reveal. Miss Huntington Beach born and raised in California, 22 year old Justine is the Unicorn. Shame. She might have been openly petty but so were lots of the others. It is obvious that she should have been one of the ten but I think Tyra vetoed her. In favor of.... I'd better shut up about the rest for fear of the politically correct police.
