This, the second of the two part season concluding story, opens with the Magog continuing to attack Arkology. Rhade is fighting alongside Louisa Messereau; Rommie and Harper are struggling to get Arkology's slip-drive working; Beka is planning to leave in the Maru and Trance is telling Dylan that there is a way out for him... but only him. Things do no look good. As the attack continues the situation only gets worse and when a certain main character is killed one can't help wondering if any of them will get out of the fight alive.
This episode was packed with action and surprises. The Magog feel like an unstoppable force as they move through Arkology and Andromeda; no matter how many are killed there are more behind them. It comes as a genuine shock when a character who has been with the series from the first season is killed. As the story progresses the threat escalates to a point where only the most drastic of measures can stop the Magog. It isn't all non-stop action; there are some fine scenes of character interaction; most notably between Dylan and Trance Gemini; Kevin Sorbo and Laura Bertram are on fine form in these scenes. The ending raises many questions; it will be interested to see what happens when season five gets underway. Overall a really fine season finale that left me keen to discover what happens next.
