Bonkers, but shows off the talents of the cast.

Wedding bells are in the air for Mrs Slocombe, as she looks set to take a Greek husband, better still a rich American Uncle is buying her a house.

The show by this point was becoming something very different to what it used to be, they had perhaps exhausted the many different shop scenarios, in favour of more crazy and outlandish ideas, all set in the confines of Grace Brothers. There is still the funny customer scenario, which sees Mrs Slocombe trying to sell a pair of pantaloons, but the whole episode revolves around her impending marriage.

The plot is zany, but I've always thought this particular episode highlights the true and varied talents of the cast, Sugden and Inman in particular, they could act, dance and be incredibly funny. Sugden is particularly funny as we see Mrs Slocombe have a touch of the hysterics. Watch out for Gordon Kaye, who made a few appearances on the show, some years before he'd get his break with Allo Allo.

Terrific fun. 9/10

Warning: Spoilers
If you can totally suspend your disbelief then this is a wonderful episode of the show.

Yes, the premise (Mrs Slocombe gets engaged to a Greek, who then bails, but a fake wedding then must take place) is very, very far-fetched, but I agree with my fellow reviewer - it is an episode that wonderfully shows off the talents of this dream cast.

Great fun.
