Tensions are high as this episode opens; the Narn are sabre rattling near Quadrant 37, much to the annoyance of the Centauri, whose space it is. It looks as though the Centauri will have to make concessions but then the sinister Mr Morden offers to help solve the situation... his solution is rather drastic. Meanwhile a lurker who had previously worked with Garibaldi is fatally wounded but before he dies says 'they are going to kill him'; but without saying who. Garibaldi's investigation will uncover a plot that could have serious consequences for Earth politics and puts Garibaldi in real danger. If that weren't enough Delenn is being particularly cryptic.
As season ones comes to an end it feels more like a beginning than an ending. Each storyline raises far more questions than answers; what sort of favour will Morden's backers want for helping Mollari; How will the political events affect Babylon 5 and just what is happening with Delenn? The story provides some impressive action both in space and on the station as Garibaldi gets in danger. The cast are all on top form in a story that included nearly all of the regular characters. Overall a really fine episode that has me looking forward to season two.
