Failed spin off featuring no cast members other than Wojo
This second half of "Wojo's Girl" is set entirely in Wojo's apartment, as new girlfriend Nancy (Darlene Parks) has moved in, redecorated to some extent, trying to adjust to living together. What was originally conceived as a possible spin off titled OFF DUTY, alternating the home lives of various characters results in one solitary slog for Wojo and Nancy, long after the cancellation of previous spin off FISH. Nancy is a former prostitute anxious to put her past behind her, while the sports obsessed Wojo remains sensitive to the subject, as he always was. Their endless, usually awkward, banter makes for a pretty dull show, especially since she made no further appearances. Although Wojo talks with Barney on the telephone, this remains the only episode in which Capt. Miller does not appear, just Wojo and Nancy for the whole half hour.
