The warrior women were once part of the neighboring kingdom where they were treated much like cattle. The king determined who the women could and would marry. The women could only deal with whomever was chosen for them. Oftentimes, the men would beat their wives. Some of the women were able to escape, which they did, into the nearby forest. Any men, particularly from the neighboring kingdom that ventured there were never seen or heard from again. But, Dar comes to save the day when a woman's life is in danger from the king whom the Amazons hate so much. One Amazon woman, whom Dar saves, cannot believe that he is the evil person that she was taught to believe. The Amazons, subsequently, have to learn to trust that not all men are evil.
