Who will help
bkoganbing17 September 2016
While Ben and Joe Cartwright are traveling through some unfamiliar country, Lorne Greene is thrown from his horse and seriously injures his back, possibly it's fractured. Michael Landon tries to get help from various sources and all he runs into is fear from a group of homesteaders and a bully of a ranch foreman who is hired to do just that to the homesteaders.

A couple of outstanding guest performances are in this Bonanza story. Carl Reindel plays the bully and he's taken it in his head that Michael Landon can be bullied. You can imagine that was a foolish mistake. Also Chick Chandler does a fine job as the local doctor who provides the needed medical assistance for Ben Cartwright when he finally gets to him. He's a crusty old cuss.

This one about a desperate Michael Landon fearing for a possibly fatally injured Lorne Greene is a good one.

4 out of 10 is very good for this show

It was quite mess. Everyone was an adversary to everyone else. Ben gets shot and needs help, but daughter argues with her father not to help Joe's effort, not even to rent a wagon. But then everyone else argues with everyone else. I ended up clicking the stop button about 4/10 into the show, that's why I give it 4.
