When Andy tries to chase the motorcycle up a steep hill, his CHP cruiser becomes stuck because of the extreme angle of the hill. When his car stops, it is wedged on the hill, the bottom of the car about three or four feet off the ground, yet when Andy exits the car, he steps out normally, as if the car were on a flat surface.
After Jon and Ponch talk to Andy outside the hospital, they are shown exiting the building and getting on the last two motorcycles in a row of motorcycles. After the camera angle changes, the other motorcycles have disappeared.
During the chase of the green car and the pickup, once the car stops Ponch rides over to it and stops. Jon and Andy continue chasing the pickup, and stop it some distance away- a second CHP motorcycle is visible behind Andy's car near the end of the pickup chase. Ponch is shown at the pickup arresting one of the occupants when he would have been doing the same thing at the green car.
During the initial car chase, the CHP cruiser cuts off Jon and Ponch causing Ponch to lay down and damage his motorcycle. He is seen sliding on the pavement on his back, yet when he gets up this shirt is clean and undamaged. Additionally, there is no accident investigation shown or mentioned.
At dinner with John and Ponch, Andy says he didn't chase after the helicopter in his "economy four-banger" when in fact he was driving a V-8 5.0 liter Ford Mustang as identified on the side of the fender.
It is obvious that there are dummies in the green car when it goes down the embankment, and one of the dummies (the one with the blond wig) has a black safety harness on to prevent it from coming out of its seat.
At the beginning car chase when Ponch wrecks his bike, the stuntman's arm padding is visible as its color isn't a good match. It almost looks like Ponch is suddenly wearing long sleeves instead of his short sleeves.
