Warning: Spoilers
It is late in the evening and a couple, Robert Cornthwaite and Connie Hines are sitting on a San Diego park bench having a round of lip lock. Suddenly two men, David Manley and Howard Dayton jump out and give Cornthwaite a crack on the head with a pistol butt.

The next day, P.I. Rod Cameron gets a call to meet the victim at a hotel. Cornthwaite explains the events of the night before. He also tells Cameron he was robbed of his cash and hotel key. The men had then robbed his room, stealing a briefcase with some very important documents.

Cameron tells him he should call the Police. Cornthwaite would rather not since he had been stepping out on his wife. He is willing to pay Cameron to retrieve the briefcase and work papers. He tells Cameron the name of the girl and where he met her.

Cameron digs around and and discovers that Miss Hines is part of a bait and rob crew. She baits the men into a "visit" to the park where Manley and Dayton then relieve the victim of his valuables.

Cameron tracks down Hines' sister, Betty Lou Gerson and grills her for info. Gerson tells Cameron that Hines has been a problem for years. Even a term in jail had not fixed her. Gerson says she will try and contact Hines to get the briefcase returned.

When Hines hears from Gerson about said briefcase, she contacts Cornthwaite and demands $1,000 for the papers. Cornthwaite agrees and forks over the cash.

Problems now arise when Hines decides to head for LA without splitting the cash with Manley and Dayton. Needless to say, Hines ends up dead.

Cameron tracks down the two killers and follows them to Cornthwaite's hotel. Manley and Dayton intend to drop Cornthwaite out his hotel window in case he can identify them from the park robbery.

Cameron interrupts the pair just as they prepare to launch Cornthwaite out the 8th floor window. Shots are exchanged with Cameron coming out the victor.

A quick half hour time waster. The series, "Coronado 9", ran for 1 season with a total of 39 episodes being produced. (b/w)
