Warning: Spoilers
The Angels investigate the disappearance of a country singer's lothario husband. Diamond thieves abduct Kelly, mistaking her for the singer. She wears a green dress that could make a good dog break his leash. The baddies include Craig T. Nelson and Bill Duke (PREDATOR). MATCH GAME and 5-time LOVE BOAT vet Elaine Joyce plays a farmer's wife in eye-popping short shorts. Bosley has an irritable, ridiculously offbeat office phone talk with Charlie which strays into Abbott & Costello territory, while dealing with a delivery girl, Mrs. Chicken (Judy Landers). He did NOT order legs, he ordered breasts. Sadly, she has no...oh wait a minute, she does.

Small Town Crime story
adamcshelby2 August 2021
This story takes the Angels out of LA to the honky tonk outskirts of the greater LA area, in particular Santa Clarita, they even have a scene at the Backwoods Inn, which they also used for the season 1 roller derby episode. It's an oddball of story that doesn't always make sense.

The Angels are hired by a woman to find her philandering husband, last seen in a bar that the wife was about to sing at. Kelly takes her place at the bar, since the men who kidnapped her husband don't know what the wife looks like. The real dumb part of the episode is the behavior of the diamond thieves (yes it's diamond thieves again!).

A minor fender bender makes one of the crooks throw their stolen goods in the back of a dump truck being driven by the philandering husband. They kidnap him to force him to reveal where he dumped his load that day. First off, why on earth would the thieves (there were at least three of the in the car) dispose of their loot in a dump truck just because they were in a car accident. One of them (Either Craig T Nelson's or Bill Duke's character) could have simply walked away from the accident with the diamonds on them. But they do they stupidest possible thing they could have done. Then they commit a crime (kidnapping) worse than the diamond theft.

Other than the aforementioned guest cast, we got a cameo from Judy Landers playing a ditzy chicken delivery girl in a complete non-sequitur with Bosley. Of course Judy looks hot as Georgia pavement. The other guest performance of note is Elaine Joyce, the noted Broadway actress and famous game show panelist. She looks utterly stunning in her daisy duke shorts and plays a menacing part as one of the philandering husband's second squeezes who threatens to flatten Sabrina. It's a great little showy role and damn she filled out those shorts.

Nelson and Duke did not have nearly as big an impact in their roles, playing standard issue hard men with hardly any lines. The sheer stupidity of these crooks brings this one down a notch, but there's enough eye candy here to make up for it, including Jaclyn Smith in a slinky dress that she was supposed to make her singing debut in. Unfortunately she herself is kidnapped but acts quick on her feet to formulate a plan to rescue herself and the philandering husband from their dire situation. Sabrina, Kris, and Bosley dress up as hillbilly neighbors of Elaine Joyce's character in order to catch the diamond thieves before they can kill anyone. Because of course. Before the episode ends the stolen goods are unearthed, the diamonds, which strangely resembles shattered glass, which is how I would describe the crooked dreams of the diamond thieves.
