The agency is hired to investigate the deaths of the Chairman of the Board and one of the vice-presidents at Western Techtronics, a company that recently made a breakthrough in geothermal technology and as such has been the target of some takeover attempts. Also killed was one of the secretaries, Francine Miller, who was on loan from Reardon and Co.. which specializes in providing other companies with administrative efficiency experts. Despite the deaths being ruled accidental, the Angels and Bosley are certain that the deaths are murders orchestrated by someone wanting to take over the company, the perpetrator who is trying to eliminate all those in decision making positions opposed to selling or agreeing to any company merger or takeover. With only Steve Briggs, the company president, knowing who they are, Kelly and Kris go undercover as junior executive trainees, while Julie goes into the secretarial pool in trying to get a job like Francine Miller's at Reardon. What is actually happening is that Edward Tustin, one of the executives at Western, has hired a hit man to dispose of six of the other executives opposed to any sort of takeover, he behind what is to be the successful takeover. The hit man: John Reardon, head of Reardon and Co. Reardon has perfected a brainwashing technique to develop cold blooded killers who have no real conception of their murderous acts, and will have no memory of them. His operatives are all women, Francine among their ranks. The operatives tasked with these murders have been placed in various positions both within Reardon and Western. As he catches Julie in a lie, Reardon may be able to use her to his advantage as his next unsuspecting killing operative.
