A pair of elderly players Cheerio Meredith and Clem Bevans steal this particular Checkmate episode from the cast regulars. These and others in their age group are residents of a rest home/hospital for the elderly. It's a private hospital run by Dr. Warren Stevens but the money comes from his rich wife Nina Foch.
It's Foch that a lot of strange things are happening to which brings the Checkmate team in. Anthony George and Sebastian Cabot are on the ground and Doug McClure who usually handles the action is back in the office doing the research.
All I want to say about the plot is that a couple of leads fail and it leads both George and Cabot to an inescapable conclusion.
The story itself was not one of the best, but you'll enjoy old codgers Bevans and Meredith.
