Ray Teal and Michael Landon guest starred in this episode, and both were uncredited. Four years later Teal and Landon were reunited on the series Bonanza, with Teal playing Sheriff Roy Coffee in 98 episodes over 12 seasons. The reason Teal was uncredited in this episode of Cheyenne remains unknown and is somewhat puzzling as well, as his character was one of the four major characters in the episode alongside Clint Walker, James Garner, and Richard Denning.
Most of the chase scenes were taken from "The Command" (1954), starring Guy Madison. It can be seen that all shots of James Garner and Clint Walker were shot in front of a back projection screen.
With about 17.45 left in the show the wagon train makes a run for it with the Indians in hot pursuit. When Cheyenne shoots an Indian off his horse he falls in front of another wagon. The actor is run over by the horses and the wagon.
Cheyenne does not take his shirt off in this episode.
