Hey, Cimarron can actually shoot
pensman1 July 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Corky loves listening to the stories of the Cimarron Kid and his adventures in the Old West fighting outlaws. Cimarron is supposed to be working the horses and driving a buckboard for the circus, not trick shooting. As Cimarron is picking up some cowhides, four men are robbing the bank. Cimarron saw the face of one of the robbers and it turns out to be Duke, the leader of the gang. If Cimarron testifies in court then Duke will be off to prison.

As Cimarron is putting a saddle away, he is grabbed by three men. Before Cimarron can be taken away, Bimbo breaks up the action. The sheriff arrives and he decides that Cimarron needs to be guarded. Pete is sitting guard outside Cimarron's wagon when a guy shows up claiming to be a Marshall. When he goes into the wagon, it turns out he is one of the gang. If Cimarron testifies, he's a dead man.

When Cimarron is called to testify in court, he can't identify Duke anymore which shocks everyone, but Corky in particular. Back at the circus, everyone is shunning Cimarron so he decides to pack it in. But he tells Corky he is going to the Four Aces and this time he will be wearing his gun and will capture the entire gang.

When Cimarron enters the saloon, everyone laughs. But after several well placed shots using his six-shooter, no one is laughing. He tells Duke to write a confession or he will shoot him. The Sheriff arrives but in a shoot-out, Cimarron gets a minor wound; but he has Duke's signed confession. Once again he is a hero, but this time in the eyes of all in the circus.
