This is probably one of the best episodes I've seen thus far. In this episode, Daniel is afraid his son is becoming spoiled. He takes Israel trapping with him and tries to teach him about trapping. Unfortunately, Israel is not to interested in learning, and becomes very upset when he believes his father is disappointed in him.
While escaping Indians, Daniel is suddenly bit by a rattle snake. Israel helps Daniel home, but Daniel soon passes out on the way and can't go any further. Israel figures out he has to save his father's life.
So, after covering his father with branches, Israel takes off for home. He must overcome some challenges along the way. He kiss a cougar and prays a thunderstorm away. Then it's the classic element every child saving a father's life must have...Israel collapses just before he gets to the cabin. The only strength he has left is to call out for help, which is mother hears.
This was a very good episode, and well worth the purchase of Season 4, though I must say the theme music leaves a lot to be desired. I like the earlier themes much better.
