Detective John Russo finds himself delivering a baby in his old neighbourhood where he was once a beat cop.
He gets into a tangle with Italian immigrant family turmoil.
Lucy is pregnant, she has secretly married Dante Moretti. Only her father Rocco Silvano scared him off.
Now Lucy is not allowed to go to hospital to have the baby. The Silvanos insist that she gives birth at home even though it is proving to be a difficult labour.
Russo helps out but Dante is losing his rag and he has a temper. Maybe someone could get to Captain Matt Holbrook.
The story is certainly different from catching the bad guy off the week. It did not work for me and was rather weak.
