When naming the Colorado Springs team, the townspeople reject ideas including references to birds, indians, angels and Rockies. That's humorous because today's Major League Baseball teams include the Orioles, Cardinals, Blue Jays, Braves, Indians, Angels, and Rockies.
Even though actor, William Shockley who played Hank on the series wasn't on this episode at the time, though in one scene Hank's name was mentioned, but it was said that he wasn't in town to explain for why Shockley wasn't appearing on the episode.
Orson Bean stated in an online interview that the air bubbler used in the hot springs scene had a noisy motor which then required the actors to later loop their voices for audible dialogue. Notice how the old veteran actor expertly hides his lips with his hand to make the audio looping process much easier.
