  D.A. Jake Dunham : I see. You met and you became friends, is that true?

  Stephen : Yes.

  D.A. Jake Dunham : Close friends who decided to take an apartment together. Is that a fact, Mr. Carrington?

  Stephen : Yes, that's a fact.

  D.A. Jake Dunham : Mr. Carrington, did you and Mr. Denard become lovers in this apartment?

  Stephen : Yes, we did.

  Andrew Laird : Thank you.

  Stephen : He stood there, okay?

  D.A. Jake Dunham : But your sister, Mr. Carrington, testified that Mr. Denard was the one who pushed, who shoved, who lunged, who attacked your father. Isn't that true? Isn't that what your sister has told this court?

  Stephen : My sister lied.

  [the courtroom gasps]
