Pico : Cut the bullshit, Xavier. Your head wasn't in the game.
Xavier : Sure, 'cause my head was in the oil.
Carmen : That's not the first time either, huh?
[he looks pissed]
Oscar : Skavier, you've disappointed me deeply.
Xavier : It was just a training session, wasn't it?
Oscar : Training should be the same as a match.
Boma : That's very true.
Xavier : [cynically] Here we go, Mr. President wants to say something, too.
Boma : [last line in French] That oil thing is a cheap subterfuge, Waterslaeghers. The days of cheap subterfuges are over. Whoever no longer renders flies out. Compris?
Xavier : [in French] *Oui*.
Boma : [firm] You're in goal to grab balls, so you grab them or you fly.
Xavier : It's not my fault that oil is bubbling around my goal, is it?
[Dimitri enters the cafe]
Boma : A bad goalkeeper is bad publicity, as a manager I can't afford that. Business is business.
Dimitri : There you go. 'Business is business'. You took the words right out of my mouth, dear colleague.
Boma : [clever] Does your soil also produce oil then?
Dimitri : Oil? No, I sell petrol. So from tomorrow pure petrol at very interesting prices. *At DDT's the petrol is Okay.*
Boma : You can get petrol everywhere, right? Soon I'll be launching something else entirely, you know, and you can't get that anywhere.
Pico : Did you buy a new car again?
Boma : Are you crazy? I've only had my current one for two weeks.
Pascale : And what will you market then, Balthasar?
Boma : I can't say that yet, I'm verry sorry. New times are dawning for Boma industries, that's all.
[Xavier is looking blue at his table]
Boma : Yeah, the time of the bunglers is over.
[Xavier feels addressed]
Pascale : I'm really curious.
Dimitri : So dear friends, tomorrow's the big day with...
Pascale : Ah, will you be paying for a round, Dimitri?
Dimitri : No, you don't have to. One will suffice.
-
Oscar : [preparations for Pascale's date with Boma; she must convince him to not sell everything] Pascale I think you're exaggerating. Can't you put on anything less - you know, less - less exposed?
Carmen : I'm totally okay with it, Pascale. You have to show that you have something. Even if that something's not much.
Pico : The microphone's adjusted. Where do I put it?
Oscar : Put it in my shirt's pocket.
Pascale : You won't stay in the living room all the time, or will you?
Oscar : Why not? Can't I sit here in the corner?
[general disapproval]
Xavier : Why don't you put it in that lamp?
Doortje : Then what? If they'd sit on the couch we hear nothing more.
Oscar : They can also sit at the table, right?
Bieke : That's not interesting on a date, is it?
Oscar : You stay out of it!
Pascale : Bieke's right. I should be able to move. Put it into my cleavage. He certainly wouldn't dare look there.
Xavier : That'd be the place I'd look first, though.
[angry look from Oscar]
Carmen : You're a freeloader, is what you are.
[Pico gets up with the mic]
Pico : So in your cleavage , huh?
[Oscar wants to help put the mic on]
Pascale : You don't understand stuff like this. Pico does.
Doortje : What do you mean by that, Pascale?
Pascale : Well, Pico's a technician, right?
[Pico touches her cleavage too much]
Oscar : Yeah come on, it's alright.
[Carmen looks out the window]
Carmen : Boma light's arriving now, guys.
[they all leave the living room]
Carmen : Pascale, give it your best shot, okay?
[Oscar dawdles]
Pascale : Oscar, what are you waiting for?
Oscar : I just wanted to tell you not to worry.
Pascale : Why would I worry?
Oscar : You never know. I hear everything through the microphone. If there's anything, I'll come right away, alright?
Pascale : It won't be necessary. Just go now.
[she sits on the couch, he still waits]
Oscar : And don't forget - you're a married woman.
Pascale : Sure. See you in a while, Oscar.
[he goes, just in time before Boma arrives]
-
Pascale (voice over radio) : [in the locker room, they are listening to Pascale and Boma's date] Cold. Warm. Warmer, warmer. Hot.
[noise]
Boma (voice over radio) : Kiss.
Pascale (voice over radio) : Yes.
[noise on the radio again]
Oscar : Alright, that's it.
[Oscar leaves, they halt Oscar; Pascale and Boma drink cognac]
Boma : My usual brand of cognac? You shouldn't have.
Pascale : Cognac makes you warm inside, isn't it Balthasar?
Boma : [smiles] That's right.
[he pours them a glass]
Boma : You know how to get things done, don't you?
[he kisses her neck, she deliberately spills cognac on his suit]
Pascale (voice over radio) : Oh no Balthasar, look at your nice trousers now.
Boma (voice over radio) : It's okay, that happens more often.
[Oscar bites his sunbonnet in desperation, in the kitchen Pascale gets paper towels; Dimitri has entered the cafe to complete a cacophony; Pascale cleans Boma's wet pants]
Dimitri : Hi, you're here. I thought you weren't.
Pascale : Did you need me, Dimitri?
Dimitri : I just stopped by to tell you lot my gas pump will officially open tomorrow, and everyone can get half a liter for free.
Boma : [annoyed] It's alright, De Tremmerie. Was that it?
Dimitri : Yeah so you've heard, a full half liter that is. In the morning, nine o'clock.
Pascale : Alright, Dimitri. I'll tell Oscar.
Dimitri : You will?
Pascale : Sure.
Dimitri : Good. Go ahead now.
[they look indignated]
Dimitri : Excuse me.
[he leaves, he goes to the locker room where the others hear the noise of Pascale cleaning Boma's pants with the paper towel]
Dimitri : Oscar, did you know Boma's on your couch with your wife?
Pico : Not now, Dimitri.
Xavier : Get out.
[Dimitri leaves again]
Pascale (voice over radio) : Balthasar, does that filter installation really cost that much for you to sell everything?
Boma (voice over radio) : No, not at all.
Pascale (voice over radio) : What's the matter then?
Boma (voice over radio) : I have enough money, Pascale. You know that well enough. No, they hurt me. They hurt me deeply.
Pascale : [still seductive] Who did hurt you?
Boma : Every single one of them. First and foremost, they don't like my Boma Light. Second, I can't get my head around them saying I don't understand business. That bunch of potters. Who do they think they are?
Pascale : Balthasar, don't get excited like that.
Boma : [direct] Pascale, do *you* like my sausage?
Pascale : Yes, Balthasar. I like it very much.
Boma : Pascale, you're a woman of good taste, you know that? You'll be making me crazy one day.
[they hug each other on the couch, she yells, the others listen in the locker room]
Pascale (voice over radio) : Balthasar, watch where you put your feet, okay?
Oscar : Yeah, alright. It's been good for now. Party's over, I'm going to replace his filter myself.
Pico : You're going to ruin everything, Oscar.
[he remains standing]
Oscar : I guess that's very unfortunate then.
[he leaves enraged]
