Kelly the kid that's been hanging around the store in previous episodes caused a lot of trouble then wants a second chance.
I could not stand the character of Kelly. I didn't like her. I didn't care about her. Her scenes were cringeworthy. She wasn't needed. There was enough potential story with Natalie, Tootie, Blair, Jo, and Mrs. Garrett with their schools, jobs, and personal lives.
To top it off, she pretended to be some poverty-stricken kid whose idea of being poor automatically equaled being a thief and a thug. I mean how offensive is that? Terrible. I mean Jo, who actually does come from a poor family, chose to better her life.
Also, in her scene with Blair, she intimidated her and in fact scared her. They showed that. The show tried to make light of it later, but it was actually a scary moment and the others weren't there to see it. Did Kelly apologize to Blair? Nope.
Worst off, turns out Kelly is a fangirl of Jo. Headdesk.
Kelly got too much story and screentime. It definitely took away from the rest of the gang. Mrs. Garrett didn't need a "young-in" to look after. She has her hands full with her girls and the store. I wish she didn't give her a second chance, especially given she damaged property. Now we'll be stuck with her in upcoming episodes. 5/10.
