Nah!

Warning: Spoilers
Let me start by saying that I could not stand Peter! This business of him constantly saying "nah!" Did someone actually think this was funny? Gary Dubin (as Peter) was exceedingly irritating. I couldn't understand why Buffy liked him in the first place, let alone why she would intentionally get bad grades, just to get him to like her. If Buffy was smart enough to initially get good grades, she should have been smart enough to see that this guy simply wasn't interested. This episode might actually be an example of something I've always believed. Kids are not automatically cute, funny, or even interesting, just because they're kids. Gary Dubin is a prime example of this. He wasn't cute, funny, or particularly interesting. What else to say? Although the focus was on Buffy and this unlikeable kid, they did let me see lovely Cissy for a brief moment. Otherwise, my rating would have been lower.

Buffy Dumbs It Down

Buffy has a crush on Peter, a boy who is not as smart as she is.

A funny episode for Buffy. Peter is played by Gary Dubin (he was later Punky Lazar on "The Partridge Family"). He constantly says "Nah" in this episode for a running joke. Funniest scene is when Buffy says it to Mr French. "Buffy we do not say Nah!" is his shocked reply. Buffy is getting straight "A"s in school but deliberately tries to get lower grades so Peter will like her. Other guest actors on the show are the very pretty Elaine Devry as an architect (she was on 3 episodes of the 1960s "Dragnet" show) and Lisa Gerritsen who would soon play Phyllis's daughter on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show".
