A good French episode. The widow is played by guest star Ann Sothern. French has a sad goodbye with the kids, though Bill tells them they should be happy for French. Some of the best scenes is when French helps to hire his replacement, another bearded Englishman. He is much more strict then French was, this convinces French that his place is with the Davises.
