Warning: Spoilers
As this episode begins it looks as if all Crichton's prayers have been answered; Moya has come across a wormhole and a planet can be seen thought it: Earth! With only a limited amount of time before it destabilises he quickly says his good byes before setting off in the Farscape module. He lands on a beach in Australia but doesn't get the reception he'd expected; he is tranquilised and taken into custody by suspicious military personal who tell him the worm hole has been there since he left and the governments of Earth have been worrying about what might come through next. What does come through is one of Moya's pods; it is carrying Aeryn, D'Argo and Rygel; not surprisingly they are met with great suspicion. Rygel starts to get ill and the next thing Crichton knows he is having an autopsy performed on him; they tell Crichton that Rygel died but he doesn't believe it and knows it is only a matter of time before Aeryn and D'Argo meet the same fate. After D'Argo is taken away Aeryn overpowers one of the guards; now Crichton will have to decide whose side he is on; his friends or humanity.

When this episode started I expected it to be a weaker outing; after all we can guess something must happen to stop Crichton staying on Earth or it would be a very short series! Thankfully though the way he is kept with Moya and her crew involved a good twist which I hadn't seen coming. It came as quite a shock when Rygel died... whether the twist means he isn't dead or whether he was killed off to make room for Chiana I won't spoil; you'll just have to watch the episode! Guest star Kent McCord does a decent job as Crichton's father and the regular cast perform well as expected; especially Claudia Black as Aeryn... it seemed strange seeing her in a dress rather than her Peacekeeper uniform though! Over all this is a good stand alone episode that might not be action packed but has a good story, has some good tense moments and a nice twist at the end.

Moan Moan Moan Spoilers

Warning: Spoilers
For the person who reviewed this in 2019 Have never watched this show before, had heard loads about it, but never been able to find it on UK TV.

But have never managed to see it, my fave series are Trek TOS and DS9 the Orville and the Brilliant Babylon 5 Watching the 1st few episodes of this series its from OZ never knew that have to admit, never knew they made Sci-FI But I am slowly getting hooked the characters are growing on me even the Muppets reject Yes it's cheap and the acting is OK were their any stars to ever come out of this?

Right onto this episode, now this is a clever episode, takes you one way the "return home" episodes, but then does a screaming left hand turn and bang you hit your head.

Now this is not Grade A camerawork or sets or ET but it's OK, it's the story that sells it.

I did not guess the twist I just thought they escaped back into the wormhole. But nope The way it was played out with the magazines was very clever and then they had to see if they could live on Earth and nope they are right "we would kill them" This series is 24 years old, and boy the world is in a S@@T state. If you was a Alien would you want to live here, NOPE !!

It's right what they said "we are dangerous beings" It's just a shame they cut off the episode when they did, should have showed him returning back though the wormhole and the reaction It reminded me a bit of the Brilliant "Escape from the Planet of the Apes" maybe that's where the idea was nicked from.

Quite a strange pic to assign to this ep

Going non-spoiler here...no this isnt some episode of a geriatric beach planet. In my watchthrough of Farscape, this is the first time I thought things were pulled off really well. Perhaps it was lowered expectations, but it was a great episode.

A dizzying return to Earth
craybatesedu2 June 2019
Warning: Spoilers
For the first time all season we learn that Crichton may actually have an interest in returning to Earth someday. Here, he gets his chance - supposedly - and is met with a planet driven bananas by paranoia after his apparent disappearance has put the rest of the world on edge.

The viewer is clued into the fact that this is an illusion by Rigel's gruesome "death" in the second act. Just to drive the point home, the writers gave us an even more implausible hookup between the chemistry-free Sun and Crichton to let us know that no, this is not really happening.

What happened was an illusion. More particularly, it was an illusion assembled by weird, dizzying camerawork seemingly designed to naueseate and annoy. This episode is full of unnecessary whirling shots, strange lighting work, even an entire conversation between Crichton and one of the worst alien animatronics yet seen that proceeds through with fade-in fade-out effects literally between each line of the exchange.

This episode depends on "human" villains we do not know or care about and ends with an explanation that conveniently obviates any actual or potential accomplishments to the whole episode. The poor visual elements do not help the stilted and obvious story. The final reveal comes at us quickly, mercifully enough since we have known for half an hour that it was an illusion. Whenever Crichton does get back to Earth, I hope it is with a camera operator a little steadier on their feet.
