Poccari is visited by a young woman named Maria, who explains that her boyfriend, Enrico Baldini, is set to be released from prison, serving a sentence for theft, she wants Poccari to reform Baldini, and encourage him to return the missing money.
A thoroughly enjoyable mystery, well plotted, with some perfectly feasible characters, and a pretty unexpected, but cleverly crafted twist.
There is no denying the charm of Vittorio De Sica here, the guy was overloaded with charisma, smooth as silk, this was perfectly written for his character. The way he charmed Coralie Marlow, he's full of charm.
There's some very nice location filming here, it's a wonderful looking episode.
Richard Pasco was excellent as Baldini, he really did have a chip on his shoulder, and once again it's wonderful to see Roger Delgado.
8/10.
