Gamble is in Dublin, trying to get to the bottom of a potential art fraud, a painting that was believed to have perished in a house fire, and paid out on, has resurfaced.
I was glad to see the name of Robert Holmes appear for this series finale, and this has his hallmarks all over it.
This was actually my least favourite episode of the first series, maybe it was the unnecessary Irish setting, or the story itself, I'm just not too sure that this one worked as it was intended to, or maybe it's just suffered a little with the passing of time.
Those Green Shirts are an interesting set of characters, and perhaps had some sort of political significance at the time.
It's funny, nowadays we're so used to shows ending with a big bold dramatic episode, cliffhangers etc, this was more of a low key affair.
6/10.
