It seems that the writers of "Golden Palace" really didn't care about consistency or attention to detail in individual episodes of the show. Poor miles (Harold Gould) got the shaft in his two appearances on the show, and it's not a respectful way to write his character out. Blanche and Rose agree to host a wedding for guest Nanette Fabray, and it turns out that she's engaged to Miles. Rose must muster as much dignity as she can, deciding that the best way to end things with Miles is to witness his marriage to put this part of her past behind her. Meanwhile, Blanche realizes that someone in the hotel is embezzling money and confronts everybody. But fingers point back to her, and all she has to say is "oops". Fabray is presented to be a slightly less dizzy character than Betty White, and is forced to wear an even uglier wedding dress than Bea Arthur did in the "Golden Girls" finale. It's easy to see why the show didn't last too much longer.

To have the Rose/ Miles story end like this was the absolute worst and completely unnecessary. They should have either ended it on a happy note or just not bring Miles into this series at all. Hate this episode.
