Eddie Albert is quite good in this comedy drama speaking of an old timer digging in the middle of a western town to find some gold. Don't misunderstand, that's definitely not a western. The settings are but not the atmosphere nor the story. Eddie Albert is remarkable in this story, more than you could imagine. A story which you can watch or read in different manners, another bittersweet tale about the other side of the American dream. Very clever point of view, if you watch it very closely. Boris Sagal who pulled it for TV was a prolific director and he gives here a proof of his talent. Don't bother of the two flashbacks in this short but entertaining story that reserves you many good surprises.
