Colonel Craig : [adressing Mrs. Willow] I've decided to, eh, to begin your husband's hearing tomorrow.

Molly Culhane : Tomorrow? Oh, but colonel, the doctor has said that Andrew Willow should not be moved for at least a week.

Colonel Craig : My time is limited, Mrs. Culhane.

Luke Macahan : So is Willow's.

Colonel Craig : Yes. I would expect the, eh, the hearing to take several days. It could of course be held out in the bivouac area, but, eh, I'd rather not move the accused back and forth like, eh, a sack o' grain. So I wonder if, eh, we might have your permission to hold the hearing here in the house?

Molly Culhane : Of course, if the hearing must be held, then yes, it would be preferable to moving that man in there back and forth like a sack of grain, as you say.
Colonel Craig : Very touching, I'm sure.

Luke Macahan : Can't you see he is tellin' the truth?

Colonel Craig : What I see, Mr. Macahan, is someone who has not only bushwacked innocent people, but who's been hoarding government gold to boot! And who has been using this woman and that child to play on my sympathies and yours.

Luke Macahan : That woman and that child happen to be this man's wife and daughter, colonel!

Colonel Craig : To all intends in purposes.
Colonel Craig : Mr. Macahan, I've played about all the little games I want to, with you.

Luke Macahan : Colonel, I don't play games with people's lives.
