The ladies are concerned about violent robberies in the neighborhood carried out by "The Masked Bandit". Gwen (Lisa Gaye) leaves for an important after-hours meeting of her publicity firm. Internationally-known Ventriloquist Gene Rosten (Werner Klemperer, Col. Klink in "Hogan's Heroes") is to appear as a mystery guest on "Who Am I?". Producer Roger Morgan (Walter Reed) stresses the importance of no one knowing Mr. Rosten is in town. The identities of previous contestants have been leaked out and the sponsor threatens to cancel the show if it occurs again. Gwen arranges for Mr. Rosten to move into the vacant penthouse beside her until after the show. His secrecy comes under the suspicion of Loco (Barbara Eden). Gwen covers for him saying he is a lumber businessman named Overmyer. Loco spots Gwen sneaking into his apartment, which makes her and Mike (Merry Anders) suspicious. Loco goes to investigate on her own and draws conclusions that Mr. Rosten is a murderer and "The Masked Bandit". When Mike and Gwen ignore her claims, Loco decides to take matters into her own hands.
