Near and dear to Bubba

The Sparta Police have to deal with the tragedy of drunk driving in this episode where some of the football players have a party with some of the local distilled product. One of the football players got some bad moonshine made with wood alcohol and crashes his pickup. Walt Goggins is blind and the girl he was with is killed.

As Alan Autry coaches these kids the case is near and dear to his heart Walt Goggins who made a few appearances on the show is outstanding as the kid permanently blinded.

As for the perpetrator. He will kind of break your heart as well.

Walter Goggins

I just realized that Walter Goggins plays the blind boy. Was this one of his first television appearances? He is a great actor. I loved this show as every character was fleshed out entirely. Carrol O'Conner was one of the best actors ever and so was Howard Rollins. What a cast and show.
