another sulky lead lady

Daphne Ashbrook is more proof that first impressions count. The script should have allowed her a scene with the horse at the beginning where the viewer meets Katherine Granger as the nice girl she really is. But all the sulky sulky sulk and more sulky sulky sulk and I was kinda through with her. Then came that tearful closeup and her "Michael... it looks like we're inside a diamond" and when I re-watch the episode, I do see her in a different light. However, she still lacks true sparkle.

The Princess of KNIGHT RIDER for me: Catherine Hickland, "White Bird"... Always!

A Knight in Shining Armor

Thomas F Wilson does not have a great time with chasing after fast cars does he? He plays Chip the hapless waiter who finds KITT is not some piece of junk.

Wilson who found fame in the Back to the Future film as Biff is a better spot than Daphne Ashbrook who is better known as the assistant to the eighth Doctor in Doctor Who: The Movie.

Ashbrook plays brattish Katherine whose adventurer father has been found murdered. Katherine may hold an important clue to long buried treasure that her father might had given her. Someone else is after the clue and Katherine's life is in danger but she does not want Michael Knight near him.

This is a pretty routine episode, KITT jumps through a freight train. Lance LeGault guest stars and by this time he seemed to be on every american action series.

This episode may have been better if the supporting characters had more depth, but it was like entering the game at half time. The surprise ending was cool visually, but lame storyline wise... if it wasn't valuable, why act like it was?

A knight in shining Armour

Renowned adventurer Charlie Granger is murdered within the compounds of the Foundation. Michael and KITT are sent to protect Granger's estranged daughter Katherine who's locket hold the key to finding his hidden treasure.

Fairly routine episode with Michael babysitting a bratty teen who loathes her father who gets killed. But Michael being Michael gives her some sage advice and she sees the error of her ways. Nice bit where KITT turbo-boosts through a wall and reaches the Crystal Palace. Lance DeGault makes for a horrid villain. Liked the bit where the guy in red car challenges Michael in a race and he's left stunned as Michael presses a button and shoots past.
