- TriviaPeter Cullen, who provides the voice of K.A.R.R., is better known as the voice of Optimus Prime in the U.S. version of The Transformers (1984) and The Transformers: The Movie (1986). Cullen uses a similar voice for both characters. Many sources mistakenly presume that Peter Cullen reprised the role of K.A.R.R. in season three's K.I.T.T. vs. K.A.R.R. (1984), but Paul Frees took over and went uncredited for the role. Cullen would later provide the voice for a different version of K.A.R.R in Knight to King's Pawn (2009) of the sequel series, Knight Rider (2008).
- GoofsWhen K.A.R.R. (evil counterpart of K.I.T.T.) plummets over a cliff to its apparent demise, the car shown in the wide shot is not a black Trans Am, nor does it even resemble one. It is in fact stock footage from The Car (1977), the car from which is another George Barris custom build. The producers own the rights to both Knight Rider and The Car.

Some Good, Some Bad
The series regulars are just fine in this episode. But the two actors who played the crooks were horrible. They were fresh out of acting school - a bad acting school. They spent all their time bug-eyed and yelling and screeching. Ugh. If it was supposed to be funny it didn't work, at least not for me. I'm sure some people would disagree with that.
This could have been a super cool episode, but they blew it. That happens to every show I guess, a few episodes along the way that fall short during of years of production.
I did like the dramatic ending and the closing tag scene that followed it. I thought those were very good.
By the way, I'm new to Knight Rider. I didn't watch it back in the 80's, but I bought the DVD's and will be going through them. My impression so far is that it's a fun show. There's a lot to like in this story of a man and his car.
