Expecting to see Castro to plead her case, she instead ends up with Colonel Velasquez (Val Avery), who enjoys toying with the American female. Velasquez wants the money, but Mrs. Palmer says she knows nothing about the missing million. The night before she is supposed to see her husband, Velasquez tells her Scotty escaped from prison and is believed to be going after the million. She tells Velasquez he can have the money, all she wants is her husband back. Fellow American journalist Mike Taggart (Steve Forrest), thinks he can help Mrs. Palmer, but she is initially skeptical. Eventually she lets him take her to Conrad Easter (Victor Jory), an artist that may be able to help them find either Scotty or the money, or both. He sells them a picture that may have a clue to the mystery. Taggert also thinks there may be help in a small village, which provides another clue. After racking their brains, they find the money. She wants to take it to Colonel Velasquez to free her husband, but is it too late? As seen on Retro TV Network, June 2009.
