The appearance of Fay Spain back in Laramie is like a dose of cold water to Slim Sherman. She really has some bad feelings toward him after her father was kicked out of the Overland Stagecoach company.
At the same time a gang starts working a protection racket, first with the Overland Stagecoach Company but they branch out soon enough. It's headed by Jeff Richards and he and Fay Spain have history and are working this together.
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned or a woman seeking to vindicate her father. Good thing John Smith is around to show her the error of her ways.
Nice performance here by Dub Taylor who may have been auditioning for the old timer sidekick part since Hoagy Carmichael left the series. What happens to him is what makes Fay Spain switch sides.
Nicely done episode.
