- Foggy, Norman and Compo meet a Mr. Broadbent who aims to become closer to the wilderness. He gives the trio his van, but fails to inform them of the surprise in the back. Howard and Marina try racing bikes.
- * spoilers *
Starts off with a scene out of Morecambe and Wise, with Compo getting water thrown over him by Nora Batty, but he has an umbrella, and starts singing "Singing in the Rain", as Ernie Wise once did. He puts his umbrella down and then gets more water thrown over him, this time getting wet. So then he sings "Stormy Weather", as Eric Morecambe used to do.
The 3 men later at a pub see a scruffy man called Broadbent walk in, Foggy thinks he is just after their money, so he makes his excuses and gets out of there.
But when they are sitting out in the countryside, Broadbent arrives in his old van, declares he wants to live in the wild, and gives them his van.
However, they are in for a surprise when they look in the back, and find Mrs. Broadbent sitting quietly. They don't know what to do with her, so they leave her in the van. They walk away only to see that the old woman is following them, even to Ivy's Café.
Desperate to get rid of her, they wander around wondering what to do. Eventually they see Smiler, with a thingamy that Auntie Wainwright sold him. So they decide to swap the van for the thingamy, walk back to the van, give Smiler the keys and then Mrs. Broadbent appears and gets back into the back of the van. Smiler is shocked that he has to take the old woman with the van. Then Mr. Broadbent returns, in pain, wanting his wife back. So Smiler is left with his thingamy and the other 3 wander off, and Mr. Broadbent is back with his wife and van, although she is none too pleased and whacks him over the head.
