Silent Film era

Warning: Spoilers
Lenny and Squiggy discuss how it must be easy to play leading men in silent films because they don't have to talk. And we watch them and the rest of the cast do silent film scenes. As a movie fan, it's great to see because Film is where it started. The Jekyll and Hyde skit is cool, so we get a western, horror, and Spanish genre. I like they used different sets for movie scenes: Cowboy bells for the Western, Laverne and Shirley's kitchen for Jekyll and hyde, their bedroom, and their living room for Spanish. Except for the war scene. Any silent film buff might appreciate this episode.

No Laverne & Shirley
LaverneandShirleysucks26 December 2021
Laverne & Shirley appear only for a few minutes in the opening scene while the whole episode is of Lenny & Squiggy doing silent movie skits in sepia tone. It makes you wonder if the infamous rumors of Penny Marshall & Cindy Williams' backstage fighting and not getting along were true because one or the other has been suspiciously absent a few times already in past episodes and now they're both missing in action.

They strangely don't appear in any of the silent skits when something like this seems perfect for them to do. At least it would've made it more entertaining. As I stated in a previous review, I can only take Lenny & Squiggy in small doses. An entire episode of them is pure torture for this viewer. I barely made it through to the end of this one.

If you're into silent films and can't get enough of Lenny & Squiggy, you will certainly enjoy this episode. I did not.

Laverne & Shirley not appearing makes this almost unbearable to watch and I wonder how many more abysmal episodes there are without them in coming episodes. Their in fighting with each other must have been really bad lol.
