When Beaver goes downtown to speak to Mr Langley, the sequence is introduced by a 'stock footage' shot of Albuquerque, New Mexico, looking West on Central Avenue (US Route 66) from about 1st Street. The 8-story office building in the distance is at the corner of Central and 3rd Street, and still can be seen there today (2021). Most of the other buildings, such as the YMCA and the Liberty Cafe, have been replaced or modernised. The same 'stock' shot is seen in Wally's Car Accident (1962) and The Grass Is Always Greener (1959).
Dick Simmons appeared just four episodes earlier, in The Parking Attendants (1963), as the same character, Mr Langley. In it, the large, lavish wedding party he hosted had Wally and Eddie working as valets, and being given lunch by his maid. There was no sign of impending financial trouble, as here when he couldn't afford to lose a bet.
