• Rem : You must contact Logan personally and find out the extent of his memory loss. Our friend in the forest told us that the drug does wear off. Presumably, memory comes back intact. We must find out exactly what stage Logan is in.

  Jessica : If the drug still is in effect then he probably won't recognize me except as a runner he's been told to terminate.

  Rem : Well, true, but as I recall, Logan thought you were very lovely. He was attracted to you.

  Jessica : Rem, are you suggesting I seduce him?

  Rem : Oh, I wouldn't put it that strongly, Jessica. On the other hand, considering our circumstances - yes, I would.

  Jessica : But he's a friend!

  Rem : So?

  Jessica : Rem, you just don't walk up to a friend and-and try to make love to him.

  Rem : Well, if it isn't more easily done with a friend, then this human activity doesn't make any sense at all.

• Jessica : You still don't remember me, do you?

  Logan : No, but if you give a second chance, I promise it won't happen again.

  Jessica : Logan, when you lost your memory, you forgot all about us and what happened in the past year, is that right?

  Logan : That's right.
