Stanley (Dom DeLuise) is suspicious of his mother Iris' (Kathleen Freemen) nightly trips out to the laundromat. He finds the bag she almost forgot is full of clean clothes. Stanley's friend Bummy (Jack Knight) drops in to say that he saw her going into a bar with a gentleman-- and a laundry bag. Iris admits that she is dating a nice man named Martin Wicker (Harold Gould) that she met playing bingo. She comes down in a red wig to introduce Martin to the rest of the family. Martin bumbles in the manner of Frank Morgan's Professor Marvel from "The Wizard of Oz"/ a nervous Rob Petrie (Dick Van Dyke), which leads to a few comedic moments. Now they wait to find Martin's intentions.
